Job summary

Dallas Retirement Village is seeking a Health Center housekeeper to maintain resident rooms and common areas within the health center. The role supports Environmental Services on a full-time, on-site basis in Dallas, OR.

You will follow safety and infection-control standards, collaborate with staff, and perform cleaning, mopping, trash removal, and related duties as scheduled by the supervisor and director.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, with clear communication.
• Capable of bending, stooping, twisting, pushing/pulling carts safely.
• Able to treat residents, families and staff with empathy and respect.
• Efficiently complete duties on schedule with accuracy.
• Understand and apply DRV policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with seniors and DRV staff.
• Work safely with chemicals and infection-control protocols.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, fresh environments in all campus areas.
• Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations as assigned.
• Complete work orders and assigned tasks.
• Perform essential housekeeping duties as needed.
• Clean scheduled areas to ensure hygiene and odor control.
• Follow safety rules and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain equipment and areas in good condition.
• Care for resident items and keep areas tidy.
• Complete daily checklists and documentation.
• Adhere to personal hygiene standards and dress code.
• Attend training sessions and ongoing education.
• Perform additional side jobs as assigned.

General Summary:

The health center housekeeper is responsible for maintaining and cleaning resident rooms and common areas.

Cleaning, mopping, removing trash and more.

Keeping residents’ homes as clean and as odor free as possible

Maintaining schedules and other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Director.

Job Duties:

1. Maintain a clean and fresh environment in all assigned areas of campus.
2. 2. Is responsible for the day to day operations of their housekeeping chores
3. 4. completing work orders assigned.
4. 5. Performs any of the essential duties of housekeeping,
5. 6. Ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned according to schedule
6. 7. Perform cleaning duties in assigned areas.
7. 8. Always follow safety regulations and always follow established infection control and chemical safety protocol.
8. 9. Cleans and maintains assigned work areas and equipment.
9. 10. Maintains and ensures resident items are taken care of and cleaned as necessary.
10. 11. Ensures that all documentation and check lists are competed daily as assigned.
11. 12. Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
12. 13. Attends in-service training and education sessions assigned.
