Job summary

Simplot Company is seeking a forklift operator to safely move merchandise in our GF Warehouse in Grand Forks, ND. You will operate a forklift, load and unload totes, and use a hand scanner to record locations and quantities.

Daily tasks include reading order sheets, balancing multiple priorities, and maintaining equipment. Strong safety awareness and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential for success in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and load/unload trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport totes from production lines to the warehouse.
• Load, unload, high-stack, and stage totes of frozen products.
• Accurately enter data and product locations using a hand scanner.
• Read daily order sheets and retrieve appropriate products from the warehouse.
• Load and unload trailers at the dock.
• Perform pre-operation maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues.
• Charge forklift batteries as needed.
• Balance multiple tasks, work under pressure, and exercise good judgment.
• Work independently or with minimal supervision.

Summary

This job is responsible for operating material handling equipment in a safe manner for the purpose of moving, locating, stacking and counting merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
