Job description

This is a temporary position, and no leave or retirement benefits are offered. Temporary employees working an average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). For more information, visit www.shpnc.org.

Strategic Initiatives and Program Support (SIPS), Data and Information Branch
What Will You Do
  • Assist in developing the Data, Technology, and AI program for NCDOT, including creating a data and systems inventory, supporting data management implementation, and developing training materials and communications.
  • Tasks will be tailored to the fellow's skills and interests where possible.
  • Develop business analysis, data analysis, and communication skills during the fellowship.
  • Participate in professional development, recruitment, and outreach activities.
Qualifications
  • Prior exposure to program coordination or business analysis.
  • Experience with data analytics technology (e.g., PowerBI), AI, or cloud applications.
  • Majors such as Information Systems, Business Systems, or Data Analysis.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Educational Requirements
  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or be enrolled in a master's or professional program (e.g., Law School) at an accredited North Carolina HBCU or MSI, earned between 2022–2025, or be a current graduate or law school student.
  • Must provide proof of attendance or graduation by attaching a transcript (official or unofficial).
