Job summary

CHS Inc. in Bismarck/Mandan, ND is seeking a Hazmat Truck Driver to haul refined fuels and jet fuel locally. Local home daily schedule (Sun-Thurs or Tue-Sat).

Requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience. Eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus and driver safety bonuses up to $6,000 annually. Responsibilities include safe delivery, DOT compliance, proper loading/unloading, accurate documentation, and proactive safety reporting.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL for the equipment/route.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience.
• Must meet age requirement.

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-tractor and tanker to deliver hazardous energy-grade materials safely.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness.
• Load and unload products using loading arms and hoses; follow safety procedures.
• Deliver professional, customer-focused service and coordinate with customers and internal teams.
• Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; submit maintenance reports and escalate issues promptly.
• Notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns; execute required response and reporting procedures.
• Support related tasks such as equipment hookups, site readiness checks, and assigned duties

Summary

CHS in Bismarck/Mandan, ND is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team! This individual would be responsible for hauling refined fuels and jet fuel to our customers in a safe and timely manner. The schedule for this role would be either a Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat. This is a local home daily position. The ideal candidate would have a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and 2+ years of tractor trailer experience (required). Join our team today! Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-tractor and tanker trailer to deliver hazardous energy-grade materials to customer sites in a safe, compliant manner.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness.
• Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures.
• Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, coordinate with customers and internal teams.
• Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; submit maintenance reports and **escalate** repair needs and equipment issues promptly.
• Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns; execute required response and reporting procedures.
• Support related tasks such as equipment hookups, site readiness checks, and assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
• Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
• 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
• Must meet age requirement
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

Additional Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
• Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
• Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.
