Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

• Haul tanker freight safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo per customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT records.
• Communicate with dispatch using PeopleNet.
• Attend required safety meetings and training.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Complete DOT-required vehicle inspections and documentation
• Haul tanker freight safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, and secure cargo according to customer requirements
• Protect freight throughout transport
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and required DOT records
• Communicate with dispatch using PeopleNet
• Obtain required customer paperwork and signatures
• Report maintenance concerns promptly
• Represent Puryear Tank Lines professionally with every customer interaction
• Attend required safety meetings and training

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements (Required)
• Active TWIC Card
• Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Safe driving record meeting company standards
• Ability to pass:
  • DOT physical
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Criminal background check
  • Pre-employment road test
  • Physical abilities test
• Strong commitment to safety
• Professional attitude and customer-focused mindset

Truck Specifications:

• 2010 or newer tractor preferred
• Truck must pass inspection by the Puryear Tank Lines maintenance team before being placed into service
• Puryear Tank Lines will install all company lettering
• Equipment must meet all DOT compliance standards
