Job summary

Great Lakes Petroleum Co. is seeking a Safety‑minded Fuel Truck Driver to operate company delivery trucks and transport petroleum products to customers and company sites. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and excellent customer service while supporting site operations.

The successful candidate will travel about 75% of the time, be able to complete pre/post trip inspections, and maintain vehicles in top condition. DOT/FMCSA rules knowledge and drug testing compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• TWIC credential required or obtainable within 30 days after hire.
• Experience in fuel, petroleum or hazardous materials transport preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and comply with random testing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate fuel delivery trucks in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Load, transport, and unload petroleum products following safety procedures.
• Travel approximately 75% of the time to support customer locations and operations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Complete and submit delivery documentation and logs accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and operations personnel to ensure safe deliveries.
• Uphold safety, regulatory compliance, and customer service standards.
