Job summary

Clean Harbors in Hutto, TX is seeking a Class A CDL Driver / Hazmat / Tanker to operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at our customer sites; some of the vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. This role is responsible for performing driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

Travel / On Call / Emergency Response: a paid two-week Academy training may be out of state with expenses

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Operate Class A trucks and loading/unloading on-site.
• Background check, drug test, and medical as required.
• Meet OSHA respirator standards per 29 CFR 1910.134.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety first; follow all policies and safe work practices.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Drive a variety of Class A trucks and load/unload.
• Perform on-site manual labor to meet customer needs.
• Placard vehicles per DOT requirements and regulations.
• Maintain logs, time sheets, and reports.
• Follow local, state, and federal compliance rules.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Adhere to corporate operating guidelines and EH&S rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.
