Job summary

Clean Harbors in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Class A Driver to run local routes around Phoenix and to other Clean Harbors facilities, picking up drums and containers of waste for transport to the facility. This role includes light touch freight as needed and a 3:00 PM-11:30 PM schedule with overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Pay is $30/hour, with benefits including health coverage after 30 days, 401K with company matching, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required; no auto restriction on CDL.
• Hazmat endorsement is required.
• 1+ years of Class A driving experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned routes for scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Safely load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Ensure drums and other containers are properly segregated, secured, and transported.
• Follow vehicle weight requirements and properly use Company equipment.
• Properly placard vehicles according to Company and DOT regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, worksheets, timecards, expense reports, dispatch reports, trip reports, and vehicle inspection records.
• Communicate regularly with Coordinators regarding daily schedules, delays, and demurrage.
• Inspect, maintain, and clean assigned Company vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure assigned equipment remains mechanically sound and in safe working condition.
• Maintain all required DOT, OSHA, RCRA, and Company training records.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Follow all Company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
