Job summary

McAlister in Gardner, KS is hiring a Hazmat Fuel Driver (full-time) to operate semi-tractor trailers and fuel locomotives on customer sites. You’ll deliver fuel safely, input data into onboard systems, and ensure all receipts and documentation are submitted timely.

DOT compliance and safety are emphasized. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with X endorsement, a current DOT medical card, and the ability to pass background checks and a road test.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL with X endorsement as required by location, with
• Current DOT medical card with notation on MVR.
• Acceptance by the customer’s security verification service.
• Must pass all background checks and pre-employment screenings.
• Ability to pass company’s road test.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload tanker with petroleum products safely, including fueling locomotives and hauling storage loads.
• Service and fuel all assigned locomotives safely and timely as required by the customer.
• Operate vehicle safely according to DOT rules and regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report defects or hazards.
• Use onboard computer to track deliveries and receipts of fuel.
• Maintain all required documentation, paperwork and receipts and submit on time.
• May assist with orientation and training of new employees.
