Job summary

Christensen, Inc. is hiring a Night Shift Fuel Delivery Driver in Washington state to deliver fuel to client facilities according to daily schedules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to dispatch delivery schedules and maintain accurate logs.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
  • Dip tanks to verify inventory and safety levels at each stop.
  • Maintain client relationships and relay feedback to management.
  • Return daily logs and receipts after each shift.
  • Immediately report spills or safety concerns to Operations.

Job description

FUEL DELIVERY DRIVER

UP TO A $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS (Depending on driver experience)

SCOPE

The primary responsibility of the Night Shift Fuel Delivery Driver is to make timely and accurate deliveries of Fuel to client’s facilities as specified by daily delivery schedules. This will be done in accordance with State and Federal regulations while maintaining company safety standards. The Fuel Delivery Driver is also responsible for maintaining client relationships, where applicable, and provide sales leads to the sales force as they arise. Fuel Delivery Drives ensures our clients are serviced with a level of excellence that best represents our company’s Core Values.

SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES & DELIVERABLES
  • Adhere to delivery schedules set forth by dispatch
  • Perform daily Pre-and Post-Trip of the truck and report mechanical issues to Operations
  • Complete physical dip of tanks at the beginning and end of each delivery to verify accurate inventory and safety levels
  • Maintain accurate delivery and purchase detail and record on daily log sheet from stop to stop
  • Communicate with management and dispatch on client issues or safety concerns
  • Maintain relationship with office personnel and respond to questions in a timely manner
  • Return daily log Sheet and delivery receipts upon the completion of each shift
  • Report all spills and incidents to Operations Manager
  • Other duties to be assigned as needed

Skills & Qualifications
  • Valid Class A or B driver’s license with tanker, combination, and hazmat endorsements.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ commercial driving experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle receipts; read maps, road signs, maintain record of duty status, etc.
  • Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
  • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance.
  • Must be available for around the clock trips to accommodate freight movements and must be available for irregular shifts.
  • Must meet or exceed the medical standards of the US Dept. of Transportation
  • Must satisfactorily pass a drug test.
  • Must satisfactorily pass an alcohol test (if applicable)
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
  • Outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing
  • Lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
  • Vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
