Job summary

The Environmental Compliance Specialist III will oversee regulatory compliance at hazardous materials transportation facilities and en-route shipments across Maryland, working to prevent incidents and manage emergency response. You will provide technical guidance and oversight for releases or threats of release of regulated hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Six years of environmental regulatory compliance experience in hazardous waste control, water pollution, air quality, or related areas
• Current FMCSA North American Standard Part A Certification and FMCSA General Hazardous Materials Inspector certification
• Valid Maryland driver's license with no more than 5 points on driving record
• FMCSA Cargo Tank Inspector and FMCSA Other Bulk Package certifications
• Ability to work in hazardous conditions, climb vehicles, lift 50+ pounds, and don personal protective equipment
• Experience with hazardous materials response teams or roadside commercial vehicle safety inspections preferred
