Clean Harbors in Buffalo (Lancaster) NY is seeking a Class B CDL Driver- Hazmat to operate light and heavy‑duty trucks at customer sites and handle hazardous waste clean‑up. This role involves driving and non‑driving duties on and off customer sites to ensure safe operations.

Two‑week paid Academy training is required out of state; travel expenses are covered and per diem is provided. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is offered, with comprehensive benefits after 30 days of full‑time employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must be able to use various mobile devices.
• Must pass a drug test and medical exam as required by the position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34).

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
• Operate a variety of Class B trucks.
• Loading and unloading of trucks.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service.
• Proper placarding of vehicles to meet DOT requirements/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state and federal compliance regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Be on call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Site remediation and handling of hazardous materials.
