Job summary

Clean Harbors in Hampden, ME is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light trucks at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs, with duties on and off site related to hazardous waste clean-up.

The role requires Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, safe driving, and ability to perform manual labor; a one-week paid Academy out of state is required, and travel expenses are covered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and ability to operate manual transmission.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
• Ability to use various mobile devices on the job.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and physical as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Load and unload trucks and perform on-site labor as needed.
• Ensure proper placarding and comply with DOT/regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow all safety, environmental and company guidelines.
• Be on-call for emergency response on rotating basis.
• Handle site remediation and hazardous materials as assigned.
