Job summary

Savage, a global provider of supply chain infrastructure and logistics solutions, is hiring for a second shift tanker operator in Southeast Chicago, IL. You will operate a Sulphur truck and tanker, follow FMCSA rules, complete daily paperwork, and support safety objectives on refinery and public roads.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, valid Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements, and at least 6 months of tankers experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements and a minimum of 6 months experience on both endorsements.
• Experience with OSHA guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to learn loading/unloading procedures for all customers.
• Excellent communication and ability to multitask and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and operating procedures to support zero-tolerance safety objectives.
• Operate truck and tanker safely on refinery, customer, and public roads.
• Follow FMCSA/Company rules and regulations.
• Complete and maintain required daily paperwork.
• Housekeeping duties with the truck and trailer.
• Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Maintain objectives in the absence of supervisors.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime when required.
