Job summary

Hawkins, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver in Ohio to professionally deliver products to customer sites and support hazardous material handling in compliance with DOT standards.

Applicants should possess a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (21+), a clean driving record, and the ability to obtain tanker/Hazmat endorsements. DOT physicals and drug screening are required; travel ranges 0–20%.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years driving experience preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement (must be 21+ to obtain).
• Currently holding a Class B CDL with ability to obtain tanker and HAZMAT endorsements preferred.
• Satisfactory driving records.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office required; prior MRP or ERP experience preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment preferred.
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Professionally deliver products to internal and external customer sites
• Know equipment and process operations for handling, storing, shipping and transporting hazardous materials compliant with DOT standards
• Complete required documentation in paper form and/or on a computer, including shipping and receiving paperwork, inventory sheets, inspection reports
• Provide routine maintenance and inspection of vehicles and equipment
• Report product safety incidents to the Supervisor, Manager, or designated back-up
• Communicate safety and equipment needs as personally identified
• Adhere to SOPs and applicable environmental, safety and health regulations
• Perform other miscellaneous related duties, as needed.
