Job summary

Avantor is hiring in Watertown, MA for a delivery and onsite services role. The position supports lab and production services with mission-based logistics, requiring a valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement and a background in movement of materials.

You will manage inventory, transport goods, and ensure safe, compliant handling. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related experience, a high school diploma (Associate/Bachelor's preferred), and is capable of lifting 50 lbs, performing daily vehicle

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Science desirable (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of applicable experience required.
• CDL A, B, or C license with Hazmat Endorsement required.
• Must pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening.
• Experience with material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies) preferred.
• Approved DOT physical certification required.
• Strong time management, forecasting or expediting experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory on and off site.
• Transport and deliver goods per customer schedule.
• Ensure orders are delivered on time and in a professional manner.
• Unload/load packages/materials; verify receipts and document discrepancies.
• Package and ship materials following regulatory requirements.
• Keep loads secured within weight limits and placard as needed.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle logs.
• Store incoming/outgoing materials in appropriate staging areas.
