Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician in the United States (Alabama area) to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using Class B tractors and various trailers. The role involves 3-4 overnight shifts per week, with weekends and holidays largely off, and requires compliance with DOT hazmat and tanker regulations.

The position emphasizes safe vehicle operation, accurate documentation, and excellent customer communication while supporting field service projects

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire date.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading materials.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various trucks (roll-offs, tankers, tractor-trailers, box trucks).
• Perform LTL pickups and maintain logs, manifests, and trip reports.
• Comply with DOT regulations and hazmat loading/segregation, placarding, labeling, and securement.
