Job summary

Inmar Intelligence in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Sorter for Hazardous Waste to participate in daily operations of processing, sorting, and handling materials within the destruction area. You will sort and process returned products, identify waste streams, label and stage materials, and assist with regulated materials while following safety procedures and company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) or 2 years in warehouse/production
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Able to follow standard operating and safety procedures
  • Able to work in non-climate-controlled environment
  • Able to read small print
  • Able to push a cart or hand truck and use a pallet jack
  • Able to handle hazardous waste materials with safety measures

Responsibilities

  • Sort and process returned products and materials according to procedures

Job description

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor (Hazardous Materials), the Sorter for Hazardous Waste will participate in the daily operations of processing, sorting, and handling materials within the destruction area.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Sort and process returned products and materials according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Identify and separate items into the appropriate waste, recycling, product return, or disposal streams.
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, staged, and placed in designated storage areas.
  • Assist with the handling of pharmaceutical, universal, biohazardous, and other regulated materials as trained and authorized.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Support shipment preparation activities by organizing and staging materials for transportation and disposal.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, logs, and tracking documentation related to sorting and processing activities.
  • Follow all company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect materials for damage, discrepancies, or non-conforming items and report issues to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and tools safely and in accordance with training and company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity, quality, and safety goals.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and immediately report safety concerns, incidents, or hazards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma (or its equivalent) or minimum of two year’s work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Able to follow standard operation and safety procedures
  • Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
  • Able to read small print, such as on a pharmacy bottle
  • Able to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards; able to use a pallet jack
  • Able to grasp and use box cutters and seal zip lock bags
  • Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed
  • Able to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as needed
  • Able to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures

At Inmar, Compensation Reflects Our Belief In Integrity, Transparency, And The Value Of Individual Contributions. The Hiring Pay Rate For This Position Is

$17.17

Incremental pay increase are provided at 3 months and 12 months of employment. This is a non-exempt, hourly role eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state laws.

In addition to base hourly pay, eligible employees in this role may receive:

  • Safety bonuses based on meeting defined performance and compliance requirements.
  • Shift differentials, where applicable(e.g. for evening or late shifts)
