Position Purpose:
The Hazardous Waste Operations General Manager oversees hazardous waste operations within a geographic area. Responsibilities include ensuring RCRA/OSHA compliance, environmental health and safety, waste management sales, treatment/disposal services, and personnel training. The role involves establishing compliance goals, managing budgets, and overseeing transportation, treatment, and disposal projects in accordance with EPA, DOT, and state regulations. The manager reviews waste characterization, disposal pricing, and service contracts, emphasizing sustainable operations and emergency response services. Expertise in environmental regulations, contracts, technical sales, and team leadership is essential.
