Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all assigned areas. The role involves performing janitorial duties, following daily schedules, operating cleaning equipment, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

You will report safety concerns, follow company policies, and cooperate with the team to meet customer service standards. The position is on-site in the United States with on-call hours Monday-Friday, paying $16.50–$17.50

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license may be required; safety and task training certification may be needed; forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.
