Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant education or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, characterize, consolidate, and prepare hazardous waste for proper disposal.
  • Identify unknown materials and provide guidance on safe chemical handling and storage.
  • Conduct chemical inventory and storage audits, cleanouts, and surplus operations.
  • Supervise and train student employees and manage daily work assignments.
  • Respond to hazardous material spills as part of the campus Chemical Spill Response Team.
  • Maintain spill response equipment, supplies, and readiness.
