Qualifications

• Requires specialized training and certification in hazardous materials handling or a confined entry permit.
• Must be able to work 8 hours in extreme temperatures (0 to 140 degrees).
• Able to work in noisy environments and use hearing protection as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assembles scaffolding and seals off work area.
• Positions decontamination showers at entrance to work area.
• Handles asbestos-containing materials with proper tools and PPE.
• Removes coatings or materials containing hazardous compounds using approved methods.
