Road & Rail Services in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Transfer Operator for the day shift. The role transfers hazardous and non-hazardous bulk products between railcars and tank trucks using pumps and hoses, with a strong emphasis on safety and following procedures.

This full-time position requires outdoor work, lifting up to 60 pounds, and willingness to work every other weekend. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid holidays and boots allowance.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Ability to lift and handle up to 60 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, and changing weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the shift.
• Willingness to work directly with hazardous and non-hazardous bulk materials.

Responsabilités

• Transfer hazardous and non-hazardous bulk products between railcars and tank trucks using pumps, hoses, valves, fittings, and related transfer equipment.
• Inspect railcars, tank trucks, hoses, valves, pumps and fittings before use.
• Follow established procedures for the specific material being transferred.
• Monitor pumps, hoses, valves, connections, railcars, and tank trucks during transfers.
