Job summary

INPEACE seeks a Teacher’s Aide to join the Site Team and support the Keiki Steps program in a Hawaiian Immersion/Hawaiian-English Dual Language preschool. You will help ensure materials and activities align with the curriculum and the institution’s mission.

You will assist in implementing high-quality Hawaiian practices, supporting adult participants, and maintaining a positive learning environment across multiple modalities. Training and meetings are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Plan and implement Keiki Steps instructional program for families/caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Execute a high-quality Hawaiian Immersion/dual-language ECE program using a kaʻao/moʻolelo framework.
• Support Hawaiian-language parenting and child development curriculum for adult participants.
• Support daily use of Hawaiian cultural activities and language.
• Adhere to INPEACE policies and health guidelines.
• Maintain a positive learning environment across in-person and distance learning modalities.
• Provide educational support to children and their parents/caregivers.
• Integrate diverse teaching strategies and assist with classroom activities and assessments.
• Assist site setup, program execution, and daily operations.
• Collaborate with community partners and maintain program files.

Level 1: High school diploma + 1 year child care

Level 2: CDA OR HS + 3+ years preschool
