Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The role involves telemetry monitoring, primary nursing care, and float coverage across acute units on a 15-bed unit with step-down telemetry services.

The position requires Hawaii RN licensure, at least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience, and BLS, with PALS/NIHSS and ACLS preferred. Start 10/19/2026 for ~13 weeks, 40 hours/week, benefit-rich travel package.

Qualifications

• Hawaii nursing license (RN) required.
• At least 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• PALS and NIHSS certification preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• PCU and telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit with telemetry.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and strip readings; administer meds and fingerstick glucose checks as needed.
• Float to all acute units in-house including Medical, Surgical/Pediatrics, ICU, and ER as required.
