A leading mental health service provider is seeking a Remote Licensed Therapist. The role involves providing tele-therapy, maintaining clinical records, and collaborating with a care team. This role allows you to work flexibly and fully remotely within the U.S.
Remote - United States
Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team on a 1099 contract basis.
To get started, we strongly encourage having 10+ hours available per week with full flexibility to adjust; more is always welcome depending on your schedule. Please note that due to care demand and member scheduling fluctuations, it could take a number of weeks to achieve a consistent schedule.
The pay for the Contract Mental Health Therapist ranges from $85-$90 per teletherapy session. Exact reimbursement rates will be determined during the interview process and are based on location, licensure type, experience, specializations, languages spoken, and populations treated.
Session length is 60 minutes for an intake and 45 minutes for a follow up appointment, with concurrent note-taking expected and included in the session rate. All Headspace therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. Due to the nature of healthcare services provided to our customers, partners and members, all work must be provided in the U.S. Data, specifically personal health information may not be accessed, disclosed or used outside of the U.S. The U.S. is limited to the 50 states of the United States; it does not include U.S. territories like Puerto Rico.
All member records are protected according to our Privacy Policy. Further, while employees and contractors of Headspace cannot access Headspace products/services, they will be offered benefits according to the company's benefit plan. To ensure we are adhering to best practice and ethical guidelines in the field of mental health, we avoid dual relationships. A dual relationship occurs when a mental health care provider has a second, significantly different relationship with their client in addition to the traditional client-therapist relationship.
As such, Headspace requests that individuals who have received coaching or clinical services at Headspace wait until their care with Headspace is complete before applying for a position. If someone with a Headspace account is hired for a position, please note their account will be deactivated and they will not be able to use Headspace services for the duration of their employment.
Further, if Headspace cannot find a role that resolves an ethical issue associated with a dual relationship, Headspace may need to take steps to ensure ethical obligations are being adhered to, including a delayed start date or a potential leave of absence. Such steps would be taken to protect both the former member, as well as any relevant individuals from their care team, from impairment, risk of exploitation, or harm.
