Job summary

WM is seeking a hands-on District Fleet Manager to lead fleet maintenance support for hauling and landfill operations in Kailua-Kona & Honolulu, HI. This on-site role guides a team of technicians and maintenance managers, uses data to identify trends, and ensures equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of degree, high school diploma or GED plus 4 years relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience in fleet management or related field.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reliable vehicles meet operational requirements.
• Lead and coach a team of maintenance managers and technicians.
• Review capital equipment requisitions and manage asset utilization.
• Oversee maintenance shops, staffing, training, and compliance with WM standards.
• Provide input on budgets, programs, and staff development.
