Minit Stop in Hilo, HI is hiring a Customer Service Associate – Cashier. You will be the welcoming face, handling transactions efficiently and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

Starting pay is $16.50/hour with a $250 training bonus upon completing cashier training. Opportunities for advancement include Senior Customer Service Associate and Shift Manager, with pay increases as you grow within the company.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
• TB Clearance and Safe Food Handler's Certification upon hire and Liquor Card within 60 days
• Previous cash and food handling experience preferred
• Ability to follow policies and work in a fast-paced environment
• Lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a positive and professional manner
• Handle cash, credit and debit transactions on the POS system and balance cash register
• Learn basic food safety procedures and temperature controls
• Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store floor
• Operate and report workplace hazards to store leadership
• Promote incentives, promotions and reward programs
• Assist customers with inquiries and resolve issues
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
