Role and Responsibilities

Mastery Coding was recently awarded an RFP to provide after school solutions to the schools in the state of Hawaii. As an already approved vendor, we are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Part-Time Sales Representative to join our team and drive adoption of Mastery Coding’s after-school curriculum solutions in Hawaii’s K-12 education market. The ideal candidate will be located in Hawaii and part of the local community, have a passion for education, strong relationship-building skills, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Sales and Business Development
  • Promote and sell Mastery Coding’s after-school curriculum solutions to K-12 schools and districts across Hawaii.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities, including after-school programs, extracurricular activities, and enrichment partnerships.
  • Conduct market research to understand the specific needs and challenges of Hawaii's schools, ensuring our offerings align with local priorities.
  • Understand our competitors in order to identify the unique value proposition of our curricular offerings.
  • Schedule and deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations to educators, administrators, and decision-makers.
Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school administrators, district leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers in your region, providing exceptional customer service and follow-up.
Strategic Planning and Reporting
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to Hawaii’s unique educational landscape.
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance metrics to the regional sales manager.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Mastery Coding team to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support for customers.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activity to inform product and marketing strategies.
Ideal Candidate

  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the education, curriculum, or technology sectors.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining partnerships in K-12 settings.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Hawaii’s K-12 education system and local cultural nuances.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
Requirements
