Job summary

Haven Health Scottsdale is seeking a Transportation Attendant to coordinate resident transportation and safety under supervision. You will assist residents with boarding, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and collaborate with Central Supply, Scheduling, and nursing staff to meet resident appointments.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving history, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Clean driving record with no serious violations.
• Fingerprinting clearance and background checks as part of the hiring process.
• Drug testing and TB testing may be required.
• Employee health screening after hire.
• Ability to move, lift, and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation plans for current and prospective residents.
• Ensure resident safety and adherence to transportation safety guidelines.
• Assist residents when entering and exiting company vehicles.
• Work with nursing staff to ensure required assistants are present.
• Follow traffic rules and provide dependable transportation service.

Description

The Transportation Attendant (TA) works under the direction of the Executive Director and closely with Central Supply and Scheduling employees to coordinate transportation plans for current residents and potential residents. The TA is responsible for obeying all transportation safety guidelines and ensuring resident safety while assisting them to enter and exit Company vehicles. The TA coordinates to ensure that all resident appointments can be met and works with the nursing department to ensure that accompanying nursing staff members are present when required. The TA must be familiar with and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
