Job summary

The Evergreen Park & Recreation District is seeking Seasonal Events Staff to support Nightmare at 1520 during October. Under the direction of the Events Coordinator, you will perform scare-actor roles, assist with guest check-in, ticketing, line management, and event setup and teardown.

No acting or event experience is required; reliability, enthusiasm, flexibility, and teamwork matter. You’ll rotate between performance and guest-service, with costumes and makeup provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Background screening may be required.
• No prior acting or event experience is required.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in dark, loud environments.
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Able to work evenings on October dates.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned scare-actor roles in costume.
• Assist with guest check-in, ticketing, and admission procedures.
• Help organize lines and direct guests through the event.
• Assist with event setup, reset, cleanup, and teardown as needed.
• Communicate concerns, hazards, or emergencies to the Events Coordinator.
