Job summary

Blake Farms in Michigan seeks a dependable Haunt Assistant Manager to support nightly operations during the September–October haunted attractions season. You will assist the Haunt Manager and leads to keep shifts organized, staff supported, and guests happy in a fast-paced, outdoor venue.

This temporary role requires excellent organization, strong communication, reliability, and a team-first mindset. Availability for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays evenings is essential along with pre-season

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in haunted attractions, live events, retail, or guest service preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and cross-staff coordination.
• Available for full Sept–Oct season, including all Fri/Sat/Sun evenings.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional; team-oriented.
• Positive, team-player attitude; open to direction.
• Physically able to walk and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Support the Haunt Manager and Haunt Leads in coordinating nightly operations.
• Assist with staff check-in, costume and makeup verification, and pre-shift briefings.
• Monitor zones/attractions for pacing, safety, and guest experience.
• Help resolve minor staff, costume, or equipment issues during shifts.
• Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and staff communications.
• Support training and onboarding of new haunt staff.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures for attractions.
• Enforce safety protocols and guest-interaction guidelines.
• Complete shift logs and communicate updates to leadership.
• Fill in for actor/narrator/associate roles as needed.
