Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a skilled loader/operator to transport materials safely at our Harmonville location. You will perform pre-operation inspections, follow safety protocols, and maintain records.

Candidates should be able to work in varying weather, communicate well with the team, and be willing to cross-train on additional equipment; union benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Operate haul units to transport materials safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and report any issues.

  • Cross-train in other plant equipment such as loaders, skid Steers, water truck, etc.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Operate haul units to transport materials safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and report any issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials transported.
  • Cross-train in other plant equipment such as loaders, skid Steers, water truck, etc.
  • Assist in maintenance and production activities, including shoveling and cleanup of equipment as needed.

Conditions of Employment
  • Successful candidate must submit to post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
  • Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
  • Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
What We Offer
  • $24.41 to $24.61 per hour.
