Job summary

Valenti-Held is seeking a Haul Truck Operator for a full-time role at our Whitestown, IN job site. You will safely operate articulated haul trucks to move materials, coordinate with foremen and other operators, and support general site tasks. We value safety, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate Articulated Haul Trucks to transport materials around the job site, coordinating with Foremen and Dozer Operators.
• Assist Foreman with task coordination, material handling, and meeting project milestones.
• Conduct safety and maintenance walkarounds to ensure truck is safe and operational.
• Provide general site support as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Articulated Haul Trucks: Safely and efficiently operate haul trucks to transport materials around the job site, collaborating with Foremen and Dozer Operators to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist Foreman: Provide support to the site Foreman in coordinating tasks, assisting with material handling, and ensuring project milestones are met.
• Conduct Safety & Maintenance Walkarounds: Perform regular safety checks and maintenance inspections on your haul truck to ensure it’s in proper working order and safe for operation.
• General Site Assistance: As needed, assist with other tasks around the job site, supporting team members and ensuring the site is running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Safety-Oriented: A strong understanding of and adherence to safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the job site.
• Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to ensure proper coordination and project success.
• Work Ethic & Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new skills and grow in the construction industry.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical exam.
