Overview

Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Haul Truck Driver to operate on-site haul trucks for transporting materials such as dirt, rock, asphalt, and aggregate on construction and grading projects. This role is essential to supporting earthmoving and site development work by moving material efficiently and safely within and between job sites. The ideal candidate has experience operating off-road trucks and a strong commitment to jobsite safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate haul trucks to transport material within construction sites or between short-haul locations
  • Follow designated routes and adhere to site-specific traffic plans and safety protocols
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of assigned truck
  • Safely back up to loaders, hoppers, or dump zones and dump material at designated locations
  • Communicate clearly with foremen, operators, and spotters to ensure safe truck movement
  • Maintain proper load balance and ensure material is secured when necessary
  • Comply with all company safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times
  • Assist with light labor or equipment-related tasks when trucks are not in use
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience operating haul trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred
  • Experience on construction, grading, mining, or large-scale earthwork projects is a plus
  • Familiarity with truck inspection procedures and safe operating practices
  • Ability to operate in rugged terrain and changing jobsite conditions
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL not required unless off-site hauling is part of the role
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and communication skills
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
