Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is seeking a reliable Haul Truck Driver to join our field operations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading, performing basic vehicle inspections, and following safety policies to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years haul truck driving experience or 2 years training with at least 6 months related work.
• At least 1 year maintaining log books.
• Willing to perform labor tasks.
• Ability to work safely under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Loads truck by hand or by operating mechanical loader.
• Pulls levers or turns crank to tilt body and dump contents.
• Perform inspections of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turn signals and brakes.
• Ensure cargo is properly loaded according to safety requirements, size up load.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation, and observe traffic laws.
• Communicate with other Haul Truck Drivers and equipment operators using radios or onboard computers.
• Moves hand and foot controls to operate truck and dump material.
