Job summary

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, seeks a heavy equipment operator to join a safety‑critical team at quarry and road construction sites in Arkansas. You will operate loaders, dump trucks and crushers, following Foreman directions and safety rules. A sign‑on bonus of $1500 is offered, with pay around $20/hour depending on experience.

You will perform pre‑/post inspections, assist training, and help maintain equipment while sustaining safe operations in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Job Description Summary

The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment in a safety sensitive capacity operating skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, with a traveling crew and portable rock crusher.

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights such as loaders, bull dozers, trackhoes, used in road, within quarry site or highway construction and paving.
• Report any problems to your manager.
• Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers within a safety sensitive work environment.
• When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.
• Perform daily pre–and–post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary.

• Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involvingphysicalagility.
• Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height.
• Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
• Workprimarily outdoors, often in extreme weather andenvironmental conditions.
• Comfortableworking in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loudenvironments.
• Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely.
• Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Education/Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.
