A leading construction materials supplier is seeking a haul truck driver to efficiently transport materials to the primary crusher while adhering to safety standards and maintaining equipment. This role offers stable work hours with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits including 401K options and paid time off.
The haul truck driver hauls material from the pit to the primary crusher. While hauling the material, the
driver needs to be as efficient and safe as possible to help reach the production goals needed. This position
works under general supervision where routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Standard
practices and/or procedures allow the employee to proceed alone with routine work. There is an occasional
check of work while in progress and work is reviewed upon completion. Good judgment and common
sense is required in all duties and any other tasks assigned. Normal work hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00
pm Monday through Friday with weekend work on an as needed basis. The work hours may fluctuate with
the production goals. This job description provides an overview of responsibilities and task to be performed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Complies with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions and actions
to a supervisor and/or Manager Safety & Health.
2. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and meets other housekeeping needs as required by Sunrock,
MSHA 30 CFR 56.20003, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22.
3. Must load and unload cargo into the trailer.
4. Drives material (sand, rock, gravel, etc.) from the pit to the primary crusher.
5. Be efficient and steady when moving material to help reach production goals as needed.
6. Maintains the daily cleanliness of the haul truck.
7. Performs daily pre-shifts on the haul truck and completes the pre-shift form.
8. Fuels and greases the haul truck daily.
9. Ensure plant is clean at the end of the shift.
10. Assists weekly with the dipping ponds.
11. Performs maintenance tasks as needed.
12. Moves sand on a weekly basis to the concrete plant on non-productions days.
13. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
14. Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
15. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experiences
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, but not required. No prior experience
needed.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current North Carolina Driver’s License required
