Job summary

Gerken Materials, Inc. is seeking a Haul Truck Driver to safely operate a 30-ton haul truck in a sand and gravel operation, supporting production and maintenance. This role also includes helping with maintenance, site support, and general operations.

This role works in an active outdoor environment and supports daily production activities as part of a team. You’ll work outdoors in varying conditions, follow MSHA safety procedures, and collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of two years of work experience, construction-related preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work safely in a team.
• Good communication and dependability; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 30-ton haul truck to transport materials to the production plant.
• Assist with routine plant maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and inspections.
• Operate additional equipment as needed across the site.
• Support general site operations, maintenance, and clean-up efforts.
• Follow all safety procedures and MSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Work closely with team members to support efficient operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

What You’ll Do

• Operate a 30-ton haul truck to transport materials to the production plant

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
• Ability to safely access and navigate the facility, including climbing ladders
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of two years of work experience, with construction-related experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and dependability
• Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
