Job summary

RPM xConstruction, LLC in McKinney, TX is seeking a qualified heavy hauler driver. You will load and unload excavation equipment, deliver to job sites, and plan routes to meet scheduled times. Maintain logs and operate heavy machinery per supervisor instructions.

Position requires strong safety compliance with OSHA/DOT standards, teamwork, and the ability to handle physical demands. Working hours are 5am–6pm, Monday through Saturday, with possible overtime and steady shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five years experience as a heavy hauler.
• Experience operating multiple heavy excavation machines.
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Meets DOT standards and requirements.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be a team player.
• Mechanical aptitude for daily vehicle inspections.
• Able to meet physical demands (lifting up to 25 lb, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload excavation equipment onto trailers safely.
• Deliver loads to job sites as directed and plan optimal routes.
• Inspect and report any truck or trailer issues the same day.
• Operate specified heavy machinery per supervisor instructions.
• Maintain daily logs and basic paper backups.
• Maintain CDL and adhere to safety guidelines (OSHA, MSHA, DOT).
• Meet delivery deadlines and manage on-site stress.
• Attend scheduled meetings and avoid warnings during evaluation period.

Job description

• Securely loads and unloads required excavation equipment onto the trailer with no incidents.
• Delivers loads to job sites, as directed by Dispatcher, planning and mapping the best route,
  arriving within the scheduled timeframe 98% of the time.
• Inspects and maintains haul truck and trailer and reports any mechanical issues with the
  truck to their dispatcher the same day.
• Operates particular heavy machinery delivered at job site per Supervisor's instructions.
• Maintain and fill daily log sheets, utilizing paper logbook as a backup when required .
• Ensures that Commercial Driver License is maintained at all times.
• Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
• Punches in and out for each shift and meal period with no more than 1 error per quarter.
• Provides excellent customer service, for both internal and external customers.
• Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
• Follows all OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other safety guidelines.
• Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting delivery deadlines.
• Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medical
  attention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
• Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings
  during the evaluation period.

• Mechanical aptitude to perform daily inspections on truck.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking,
  bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying
  items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Position spends approximately 50% of time outside loading and securing excavation
  equipment on the trailer, which may involve standing, squatting, bending, lying, or in various
  other positions to reach the machine. Position spends approximately 50% of the time sitting
  and driving the hauler.
• Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
• Ability to manage stress.
• Must be available for work 5am - 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals
  at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
