Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Hatchery Technician to support daily production at our Kentucky hatchery. You will notify management of any machine issues affecting chick quality, perform repairs on farm buggies, and handle general tasks as requested by Hatchery Management.

This role involves mostly indoor work with temperatures 64–100°F and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safe work practices, PPE usage, and adherence to GMPs and animal welfare are essential.

• Perform other duties as requested by Hatchery Management.
• Fill in for Hatchery Jobs during absences.

PRODUCTION REQUIREMENTS

• Fill in for Hatchery Jobs during absences
• General Tasks assigned by Management when there are not absences

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

• Make certain all GMP's are followed at all times as they relate to safety and
• Animal Welfare.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Always use correct PPE for individual job tasks.
• Hearing protection must be worn during chick processing.
• Fall protection must be used in the event work is over 4' from ground level.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Mostly indoor working conditions with temperatures between 64-100.
• Outside working conditions will vary according to the weather conditions.
• Required to lift up to 50 lbs
