Job summary

Foster Farms seeks a Hatchery Supervisor at Beavercreek Rd. Hatchery in Oregon City, OR. This full-time role includes a housing option on the property and a pay range of $69,300-$80,885 per year.

You will assist the Hatchery Manager to produce high-quality chicks at the lowest possible cost. Responsibilities include supervising up to 200,000 chicks daily, improving labor efficiency, delivering safety training, and overseeing inventory, schedules, and programs.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience in related field, at least 1 year of equivalent experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Must adhere to Foster Farms disease control policies.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate automation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to keep regular attendance and work shifts as scheduled.
• Ability to work weekend and graveyard shifts and most holidays.
• Must be able to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with controlling inventory of chemicals and supplies.
• Responsible for the supervision, development and training of Team members.
• Management of Team members timecards and working schedules.
• Execute and expand hatchery programs, procedures and safety standards in regard to sanitation, Inovo injection, equipment operation, animal welfare etc.
• Assist with monitoring programs including evaluating chick quality, cleanliness, and various biological aspects.
