Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a hatchery technician to verify incubation, ventilation, and sanitation programs. You will follow established safety SOPs to meet goals on hatch, HOF, early mortality and budgets.

The role is a first shift/day shift position located at our Princess Anne, MD facility. Responsibilities include equipment calibration, data collection, and auditing hatchery processes to ensure compliance and performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years in hatchery setting preferred.
• Completion of safety training, LOTO and pallet jack certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and confirm correct operation of incubation, ventilation and sanitation programs.
• Perform calibration of all incubation equipment.
• Break out hatch residue to confirm proper incubation.
• Compile and collect data from incubation trials to confirm or improve hatchery performance.
• Verify SOPs through bacterial testing and checklists.
• Perform monthly audits to verify hatchery program performance.
