Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. is seeking a Hatchery Maintenance Mechanic II to keep incubation and processing equipment running safely and efficiently, including 50 setter incubators, 50 hatcher incubators, and HVAC systems.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to support reliable production. This hands-on role requires adherence to SOPs, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes.
• Plumbing and welding experience.
• Licensing in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Welding.
• Two years of prior or related experience in industrial maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs hatchery equipment to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Maintains incubators and environmental control systems with precise temperatures, humidity and pressure.
• Checks and services HVAC equipment for optimum performance.
• Orders parts and equipment within budget and maintains stock levels.
• Performs independent troubleshooting and determines repair actions.
• Seeks management approval for equipment modifications or replacements.
