Job summary

Prestage Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work with hatchery personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance. This role troubleshoots issues, repairs production and facilities equipment, and ensures maximum efficiency.

Reports to the Hatchery Manager. Essential duties include maintaining incubators, conveyors, HVAC systems, pumps, and related components, as well as setting up welding and metalworking tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical repair.
• Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in elevated or confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as incubators, conveyors, HVAC systems, pumps.
• Repair or replace control devices (switches, sensors, buttons, contactors, motors).
• Perform work order repairs, inspections, adjustments; operate wastewater sprayfield.
• Set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder; metalworking.
