Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Hatchery Maintenance Technician to install and maintain incubation, vaccination, process, and HVAC systems at our Arcadia, WI hatchery. The role emphasizes PMs, repairs, and continuous improvement to ensure efficient operation.

Expect to work Monday–Friday with possible weekend in some schedules; the position includes gear, training, and opportunities for advancement within Pilgrim’s. Experience with industrial equipment and safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications

3-5 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
Willing to travel for training and certification.
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
Must wear a full-face respirator around formaldehyde.
Understand safety and quality standards.
LOTO training and electrical schematics comprehension.

Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, PM and repair automated and electrical controls to maximize hatchery efficiency.
Test malfunctioning machinery and diagnose with leadership.
Monitor all operating equipment during processing.
Maintain SAP records and equipment logs.
Fabricate steel components; repair, modify, and construct equipment and structures; initiate work orders.
Perform PM, maintenance, and repair to HVAC units.
Conduct routine daily checks and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Maintain building, office, and grounds at the hatchery.
Continue to build skill sets with training and certifications.
Assist in other project work or departments as assigned.
