Job summary

Financecolombia is seeking a mushroom harvester to remove mushrooms from beds, prepare space for new growth, and maintain top product quality for orders. You will follow supervisory directions and company SOPs while ensuring cleanliness and safety in harvesting areas.

The role involves kneeling, climbing, walking, and carrying, with shifts 3, 4, or 7 days per week and responsibilities that include unloading media, harvesting, packing according to daily orders, and assisting in cleaning growing

Qualifications

• Ability to follow the direction of the Supervisor regarding houses to be harvested, the containers to be filled, and etc.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor and management
• Maintains all food safety and quality standards by following the Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs).
• Stores all harvesting equipment in accordance with Company SOP.

Responsibilities

• Follow Supervisor directions on harvesting locations, containers, and related tasks.
• Communicate with supervisors and management.
• Ensure mushroom bed surfaces stay in good condition through proper harvesting techniques.
• Adhere to Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for food safety and quality.
• Store harvesting equipment per SOP.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, minimising waste and safety hazards in alleys.
• Follow all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform kneeling, climbing, walking and carrying tasks as required.
• Store and transport equipment and materials between locations.
• Availability to work 3, 4 or 7 days per week and perform tasks including unloading media, harvesting mushrooms, packing, cleaning areas, and complying with GAPs.

Job description

Position Summary

The harvester removes mushrooms of varying sizes and shapes from the mushroom beds in order to fill customer orders, to provide room for new mushroom growth and to maintain top quality of the product for sale.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ability to follow the direction of the Supervisor regarding houses to be harvested, the containers to be filled and etc.

• Ensures the mushroom bed surfaces remain in good condition through good harvesting techniques.

• Maintains a clean and orderly work area, minimizing stump droppage on the floors, mushroom knockdowns on the beds and safety hazards in the alleys.


• Follows all Company policies and procedures.


• Able to execute tasks that require kneeling, climbing, walking and carrying


• Ability to store and carry equipment and materials required to perform the duties from one location to another.


• Availability to work 3, 4, or 7 days per week and perform one or all of the following tasks: unloading growing media (bags), harvesting mushrooms from growing beds, placing mushrooms into packaging materials according to daily orders, assisting in cleaning growing areas, complying with all policies and guidelines, and following Good Agricultural Practices.

El Piscador retira hongos de distintos tamaños y formas de las camas de cultivo para cumplir con los pedidos de los clientes, proporcionar espacio para el crecimiento de nuevos hongos y mantener la máxima calidad del producto para la venta.

Funciones y Responsabilidades

• Capacidad para seguir las instrucciones del supervisor respecto a las casas a cosechar, los recipientes a llenar, etc.


• Capacidad para comunicarse con el supervisor y gerentes.


• Asegura que la superficie de las camas de cultivo se mantenga en buen estado mediante buenas técnicas de cosecha.


• Mantiene todos los estándares de seguridad alimentaria y calidad siguiendo las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (GAPs).


• Guarda todo el equipo de cosecha de acuerdo con los procedimientos operativos estándar (SOP) de la empresa.


• Mantiene el área de trabajo limpia y ordenada, minimizando la caída de residuos en el suelo, los golpes a los hongos en las camas y los riesgos de seguridad en los pasillos.


• Cumple con todas las políticas y procedimientos de la compañía.


• Capaz de realizar tareas que requieren arrodillarse, subir, caminar y cargar.


• Capacidad para almacenar y transportar el equipo y los materiales necesarios para realizar las tareas de un lugar a otro.


• Disponibilidad para trabajar 3, 4 o 7 días a la semana y realizar una o todas las siguientes tareas: descarga del medio de cultivo (bolsas), cosecha de hongos de las camas de cultivo, colocación de los hongos en materiales de empaque de acuerdo con los pedidos del día, apoyo en la limpieza de las áreas de cultivo, cumplimiento de todas las políticas y lineamientos, y seguimiento de las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas.
