Job summary

America's Heartland Packing is preparing to open a new facility in early 2025, featuring harvest floors, fabrication areas, coolers, freezers, and loading docks. The Lead role provides direction and support to ensure departmental tasks and objectives are completed successfully.

Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing or beef production environments, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work around heavy equipment while adhering to PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a humid, hot, wet, slippery environment around moving equipment with PPE.
• Preferred: manufacturing environment experience.
• Preferred: heavy machinery experience.
• Preferred: beef plant experience.
• Be attentive to detail.
• Ability to work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.
• Ability to attend work consistently.
• Able to stand for lengthy periods.
• Display strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of all tasks within a department.
• Using tools such as a hook, knife and equipment to safely and properly dress carcasses.
• Communicate with employees and management to quickly and effectively resolve production issues or concerns.
• If contamination is present, remove contamination using a hook and knife.
• Follow proper sanitation procedures.
• Duties may be added to meet ongoing needs of the organization.
