Job summary

Bonita Packing Co. is seeking a Harvest Supervisor to oversee daily harvest operations from Santa Maria, CA with seasonal travel to Yuma, AZ. You will coordinate with the Commodity Manager, schedule harvests, and manage crews to meet quality and safety standards.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency and proven ability to lead teams, plan efficiently, and adapt to changing field conditions during harvest season.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Commodity Manager regarding harvest estimates, timing, quality, supply, and field conditions.
• Execute weekly harvest plan and adjust daily based on crop conditions and labor availability.
• Determine daily harvest quantities and locations.
• Monitor harvest crews to ensure quality and adherence to Bonipak standards.
• Communicate irrigation needs and field conditions with growers.
• Inspect fields for quality, maturity, yield, and harvest readiness.
• Record production data: quality, supply, timing, yield, losses, and performance.
• Assist with problem solving and field decisions as conditions change.
• Travel to Yuma, Arizona to oversee leafy greens harvest operations seasonally.
