Job Summary

As a Senior Harness Technician, you will work hands-on with space hardware, translating designs into reality. Your skill and attention to detail will directly impact on-orbit mission success. You will build and terminate wiring harnesses to high quality and repeatability for spacecraft installation. This position requires the ability to work the Second shift. The internal job code is Avionics and Harness Technician Sr, Grade 24.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Build and terminate wiring harnesses to a high quality for Racks and Boxes.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to co-workers.
  • Work and take direction from the team leader for project completion.
  • Confer with supervisors regarding potential production issues.
  • Cross-train and mentor new hires.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a technician in aerospace or a similar high-reliability field.
  • Certification to J-STD-001, NASA STD 8739.4.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with hand tools, repairing, and troubleshooting electronic components.
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, mechanical drawings, circuit layouts, and parts lists.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must pass a soldering and crimping test.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Familiarity with PPE use.
  • Proficiency with computer applications for documentation.
  • Practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness, and safety at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with MS Office software.
  • Knowledge of wire harness tools, including manual and pneumatic crimpers (4+ years preferred).
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification highly desired.
Pay Range

Grade 24: $28.56 - $45.72 per hour.

This position is located at a facility requiring special access. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. We encourage qualified candidates to apply for suitable roles.
